If you want to keep your PC running smoothly like the first day you turn it on, you have two choices: either you download a dozen different system optimization tools or you just use TuneUp Utilities 2010, an excellent application that has been transformed into an important maintenance toolkit for your PC.
The new version of TuneUp Utilities brings many exciting new features that make the program even stronger, but still quite easy to use for the average user. That not only includes a redesigned look, but also a lot of new utilities (Live Optimization, Turbo Mode, Optimization Report) where you can easily tweak your system and keep control of all changes apply to that program.
Among several options, you will find the tools to optimize system startup, defragmenting the hard drive, the Windows Registry which is free from the damage, restore files accidentally deleted, check the hard drive for errors, modify hidden Windows settings and customize Appearance of Windows with the so-called TuneUp Styler, to name a few. Another interesting utility in TuneUp Utilities 2010 which ripped files, a complete system report generator and maintenance of an excellent '1-Click 'tool that lets you analyze and repair a variety of issues in a single click.
TuneUp Utilities 2010 also includes new features that make the program more useful. Some of these innovations, including Turbo Mode, which disables all unwanted background programs and services to ensure that individual programs running smoothly; Live Optimizing the utility, which improve the performance of a computer in it, as soon as necessary; and Optimization Report, which lets you review the changes applied to the system for weeks, months or since installation.
In conclusion, Tuneup Utilites 2010 new still an excellent suite of optimization, with a wide selection of powerful tools, but it is quite easy for everyone to use. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of specific features of Windows 7. The program is embedded with Windows Explorer and also includes a special gadget, but somehow I expected more integration with Windows 7. Jump the list would have been nice!
TuneUp Utilities collect pretty much all the maintenance and optimization tools you need into one efficient, easy to use application. You can not ask for more.
